Reforestación de playa Guardalavaca

Centro de Investigaciones y Servicios Ambientales de HolguínInformativa

El Centro de Investigaciones y Servicios Ambientales de Holguín conjunto a su Brigada Técnicas Juvenil del Trabajo (BTJ) organizó como parte las actividades en saludo al Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente una reforestación de la playa de Guardalavaca.

Los jóvenes y trabajadores del Centro se reunieron en dicha playa para  sembrar 160 posturas de Uva de la Caleta (Coccoloba uvifera), árbol leñoso de tamaño medio, usado también como arbusto ornamental, por su tendencia a crecer en horizontal, siendo su hábitat natural las playas.

Además de la reforestación se realizó un saneamiento de playa, en una gran y masiva recogida de desechos sólidos, tales como plásticos y metales, que contaminan el entorno natural y dañan la biodiversidad.

A propósito de celebrarse el próximo 5 de junio el día Mundial del Medio Ambiente el CISAT organiza una series de actividades con el propósito de hacer un llamado a la sensibilización de la sociedad en relación a los temas ambientales, a la conservación de los ecosistemas, motivando a las personas a convertirse en agentes activos del progreso sustentable, sostenible y equitativo.

Cambiar de actitud hacia los temas ambientales y lograr preservar los tesoros de la naturaleza es la respuesta a todos los problemas del medio ambiente.
